Studying in Kazakhstan
A clearly defined study visa, with almost nothing published centrally about cost.
Kazakhstan publishes its student visa category plainly and runs a state scholarship quota for foreign citizens. What it does not publish is tuition, which means every cost figure has to come from the individual university — and the Indian embassy in Astana has issued a formal advisory worth reading first.

Using the degree in India
A medical degree earned here does not by itself allow practice in India. Under the National Medical Commission (Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate) Regulations, 2021, an Indian citizen must hold an NMC eligibility certificate before enrolling and must clear the NMC screening examination (FMGE) to register in India. The regulations also set conditions on course duration, language of instruction and clinical training completed in the country of study.
What families get caught out by.
Not warnings for their own sake — each of these changes the cost or the outcome.
Read the Embassy of India, Astana advisory for Indian students before accepting any offer.
Bolashak is sometimes marketed to Indian families as a scholarship they can win. It is not.
For medicine, the NMC eligibility certificate and screening examination decide whether the degree is usable in India.
